As we welcome the dawn of 2025, China's international "circle of friends" has sent warm wishes to mark the occasion. Erik Nilsson, a seasoned American journalist who has been telling China's stories for 18 years, recently expressed his hopes in fluent Chinese during an interview with China News Network, wishing all his Chinese friends success, good health, and happiness.
Linjie Chou Zanadu, a Chinese scholar and associate professor at the European Center for Peace and Development, highlighted China's rapid technological advancements. He predicted that Chinese electric vehicles will expand into more developing countries, becoming synonymous with advanced technology and reliable quality. 一些美西方媒体一看到中国安全官员访问缅甸，就下意识地对相关安全合作进行西方式“脑补”。他们有的戴着意识形态眼镜，暗示缅甸仍是国际社会中的“异类”，对中缅在安全上“走近”十分警惕；有的则联系缅北最近的战乱形势，将中国描述成试图干预，甚至操纵缅甸内政的一个强权。不得不说，这些想象都是高度西方化的，它们反映出来的是美西方政治精英头脑中的安全观，而与实际情况大相径庭。
